A PHOTOGRAPHIC IDEA

Introduction

You have created a beautiful  picture. Now comes the difficult part, will you be able to get a print that looks like that.

The art on the left was done in colour pencil by my lady, then copied and printed. This is how I got it.

My Work

You must have a good printer and a good photo program.

There are several to choose from so that I won't have to tell you which one to choose. I use PhotoSuite but an excellent

choice is Adobe Acrobat.

Regardless of choice choose a white or pale screen to put your picture against and use the program to open the picture.

Then manually utilise the contrast, saturation and hue. If you are satisfied with the applications you must then decide if there are any blemishes to remove. Having done so , try to choose the correct paper for printing.

Some photos tranfer best to a linen type paper rather than a gloss finish and there are several other types in between.

You have to decide what you want on the finished product in order to match it with the correct paper.

Perhaps, you still may not be satisfied with your production,then you should go to your printer's web site and search for a colour callibration . You should be shown a chart which you can use to callibrate your printer by following the instructions on line.
